Forget Me Not Campaign - a new initiative for garden centres

Welcome to the Forget Me Not Campaign, our new initiative that is helping people with dementia to lead healthy lifestyles by enjoying the many benefits of gardening.

'Bents not only wants to raise money for Alzheimer's Society but it also wants to work with the charity to become a dementia friendly destination. Bents will work with the team at Alzheimer's Society to provide tips and training for it's colleagues and guidance as to how they can help people with dementia whilst at the centre.'

There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and gardening is a beneficial and much loved activity for many people living with the condition. We want the world of gardening to unite behind the Forget me not Campaign and take on dementia together. There are three key ways to support the campaign:

- Support our Side by Side project through fundraising and volunteering

- Take steps to become a dementia friendly garden centre

- Encourage your customers to create dementia friendly gardens at home

Sign up now to become part of the campaign. Below you will find some useful resources to get started.

We're also looking for lead partners who want to be involved in developing the initiative. If you would like to be considered for this please contact Checan.Laromani@alzheimers.org.uk.
